Ash caught Palpitoad in BW035. It was the leader of a crew which was held by some Tympole. It reappeared in BW041 in which it battled against Burgundy's Stoutland and won it using a massive Hydro Pump. It was used again during the Tournament, this time against a Trainer's Darumaka which was easily defeated by a strong Hydro Pump. He made himself a real powerhouse Pokémon of ash team.
